Ben did. The best he ever did was scooting, wheelbarrow-style (face to the floor and pushing himself with his feet) — we called him “Scooter” until he got old enough to make us stop. He went straight from scooting to walking.

Yeah, she can do all of the individual parts of crawling, but she is so impatient to stand that she doesn’t bother. She can get all over the room though.

Yah I was reading this thing about how having kids sleep on their backs is resulting in a whole generation of kids who seem to be skipping right over the whole crawling thing and going staight to walking.

    kind of interesting

Hah — that’s interesting; I hadn’t put that together. Having raised my kids in the face-down generation, it still looks odd to me to see babies sleeping on their backs.

It’s a SIDS thing. Uhm, my kid sleeps on her stomach on a regular basis. And we bed share. So yeah, we are considered the devil. According to the AAP we might as well be putting cyanide in her Cheerios. *roll eyes*

Thanks. That article doesn’t actually tell me anything new. It’s amazing how much people can say without saying much. 🙂

We have books and picture frames within reach, consciously chosen so that it’s ok for her to play with them.

I’m just worried about all the tasty cords and I’ve already been fighting that battle.
