I have to write down that Her Sweetness is both saying and signing please.
I LOVE IT

Yay! Our little library guy, who has had a number of delays, is starting to use his words now. For maybe a year he’s been mimicking whatever we say, but now it’s sometimes original relevant content. Things like saying “up” when he holds his arms up and wants to be helped over something or “outside” when he’s stuck on one side of the baby gate. “Weee-ooo” for fire trucks and “‘oof ‘oof” in response to a dog puppet. The other day I handed him a piece of strawberry, and — entirely unprompted — he responded with the sweetest “‘hank yoooooou”.

Oh that is the most heart melting experience. The emergence of communication is precious.
A lot of kids when they learn to sign first tends to be delayed with speech. Very nice to see that it’s not the case with yours.
