This is really not normally my speed. Most of the time my attitude is, “What a complete and total waste of money.” But uhm this pregnancy I seem to be feeling differently. I think that at least part of my change in attitude right this moment is I now understand just how little time and energy I will have after the baby arrives. And I have very little physical ability to do some of this right now. Oy.
So! I am thinking about doing a spa day. It makes me cringe thinking about how expensive it will be. Yet, I’m going to do it. Uhm, if anyone doesn’t want to hear about it don’t open the cut.
I want my ‘lady parts’ (thanks KJB) waxed. Postpartum bleeding is really really messy and I stopped grooming way early this pregnancy and I don’t want to deal with the pain involved in trying to remove blood clots this time around. Just no thanks. And I can’t see the area anymore to do the grooming myself.
And if I’m going to have them wax all that I might as well have someone else deal with my eyebrows so I don’t have to for a few months. 🙂
And a pedicure sounds so nice. I just don’t have the flexibility to scrub off my callouses these days. And cutting my toenails hurts.
And I don’t think I’ve had a hair cut in almost a year. It would be nice to do that before it becomes the biggest hassle ever to deal with tiny baby while I get a hair cut.
And I would be willing to consider something else while I’m at it, but I haven’t decided what yet. 😀
So I doubt it, but in the off chance… would anyone be interested in going with me?
Oh! And does anyone have a place to recommend?
*Sigh* I LOOOOVE spa days. Sometimes it’s worth it to pay someone else to do all those things.
Stupid 2500-mile drive.
I hereby absolve you of *any* guilt. Go do it with the collective blessing of all moms out there 🙂
I absolutely love my waxer. She’s in Sunnyvale. I do full bikini wax and brows with her and I love it.
In terms of a pedicure, I go to a different place also in Sunnyvale that does a hot stone massage on your legs too and paraffin wax on your feet (all for under $40).
Let me know if you want more specific details.
you deserve it. The Spa at the Claremont Hotel has gotten good reviews in the past if you want real luxury.
I like facials. AT THE SPA THANKYOUVERYMUCH.
My spa day would include a facial, a massage, and a pedicure.
A friend of mine from High School opened a spa in Saratoga: http://www.jemskincare.com/
